I recently grew a bit tired of some of my subscribed podcasts and looked for something new to fill the gaps. I wasn’t quite sure what to look for and while browsing the Modern Radio Drama section in iTunes I found We’re Alive - A “Zombie” Story of Survival:
For Army Reserve Soldier Michael Cross, the world as he knew it ended in an instant. One minute, he’s in college, and in the next, rioters are roaming the highway around him, breaking into cars, and literally tearing people apart. This is the day the dead walk. This is the world of We’re Alive.
Podcast… Zombies… Sounds good to me and since there’s not much that could go wrong I gave it a try. Suffice to say that it very quickly turned[^-361148907] into my new favorite podcast.
The series started already in May of 2009 and ended in July of this year after 4 seasons and 47 chapters. Each chapter is handily divided into three episodes around 15-18 min in length, which in fact is the perfect length for my trips to and from work.
I am obviously a bit late to the game and got some catching up to do, which is actually easy. It’s a very captivating story. I am currently binge-listening for about a week or so. Turns out binge-listening is much faster than binge-watching.
If you like The Walking Dead, I believe you will like this one.
