While many of the new and interesting features of iOS, such as split view or force touch don’t work the devices I own, it turns out that Spotlight search is the feature that I enjoy the most. I have made it a habit for quite some time looking for and opening apps with it, but the in-app search is even better, and the more apps get updated the more useful it becomes.
Such as in today’s Evernote update for example:
You can now search for notes without even opening Evernote. Just open Spotlight Search by swiping down on the home screen. Then type something you’re looking for. If there’s a matching note title, Evernote will appear among the results.
Even though it seems to search only the titles, this is a massive time-saver.
Looking forward what some of my other favourite app will do with that, such as Todoist which I have been using a lot again lately.
